Nearly Ninety Flights Associated to Jeffrey Epstein Reportedly Came to or from UK Airfields
An investigation has identified that approximately 90 aircraft journeys linked to Jeffrey Epstein allegedly landed at and took off from UK airfields, with some allegedly having onboard British women who assert they were exploited by the convicted child sex offender.
Aviation Records Show Trail of Movement
The flight logs were among a trove of court documents and papers released by Epstein’s estate that have been disclosed over the past year. The investigation uncovered 87 aircraft movements linked to Epstein – encompassing many that were hitherto undisclosed – coming into or leaving from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and Post-Conviction Travel
Unidentified female passengers were recorded among the individuals travelling into and out of the UK. Significantly, 15 of these British airport journeys happened subsequent to Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring prostitution from a child.
“It was ‘astonishing’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his dealings in the country,” remarked American attorneys acting for numerous Epstein survivors.
UK Survivors and Legal Proceedings
Testimony from one of the UK-based survivors was instrumental in convicting Epstein’s associate socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. However, that survivor has not received any contact by UK authorities, according to her attorney based in Florida.
In a statement, the London's Metropolitan Police stated they had “not received any new evidence that would support reopening the investigation.” They added, “Should fresh and pertinent evidence be brought to our attention, including any resulting from the disclosure of documents in the US, we will assess it.”
Continuing Document Release and Judicial Decisions
A bill to disclose every document held by the American government in concerning Epstein was approved by the House and Senate last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to comply. A vast number of documents are expected to be released.
Separately, a federal judge decided last week that the department could make public evidence from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence over the allegations.
