Trump's Granddaughter Seeks Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Before LPGA Debut

Young golfer getting ready for major competition

The rising star boasts considerable social media presence

Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent backers as she begins her LPGA debut this Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in Florida.

Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, owns numerous golf courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she revealed.

She mentioned that Trump, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"He practically told me to go out there and relax," she continued.

"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, so he's rather occupied."

As an amateur, the golfer has played in only three events recently and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

However she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with her mother.

"He is the best player globally," the young golfer said.

"Additionally, he's a superior human being. He told me to play, have fun, following whatever happens."

She'll challenge some of top competitors in the sport at the competition, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

The LPGA stated that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to wider groups, particularly reaching the next generation.

The social media influencer has a massive following and just introduced her own apparel and wellness brand.

She begins at late afternoon GMT.
