Your Ideal Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on Your Zodiac Sign

The return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement within the community. Starting with the gradual reveal of newcomers ahead of the title's launch, to trainers forming firm opinions on the full roster of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique appearances that emphasize their personalities, one idea naturally: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? The following is inspired by a blend of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, known for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram much more akin to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Stay on the good side of both and enjoy a powerful ally; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Much like a loyal Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, both in its standard and Super Form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will defend their position to the end. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unabashed love of snacks. Many past official descriptions mention their craving for tasty sap and how it employs its horn to collect it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

The Twins – Super Medicham

Look at this total royalty. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, offering an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wish to hear. Just like an captivating, sociable Gemini, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s official description also mentions its ability to predict an opponent's next moves, which sounds quite like a people-smart Gemini.

The Crab – Super Manectric

Cancer is widely considered as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a passionate symbol known for frequently becoming wrapped up in their emotions. According to the official info, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's excessive for Manectric to fully manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Cancer emotional outburst. It is also known for its ability to create a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Well, did you assume I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be much too on the nose, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just went viral for being too glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your taste). Players were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly critical is strongly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Observe this gentle, empathetic being, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how people are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to keep the peace, there are numerous Scales who would probably appreciate Super Audino's skills. Though, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to stress even more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad origin: Discarded as a doll, it became sentient through sheer hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpio adores karma and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a show. Being a Archer myself, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly little entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “flexes to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently think they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Aloof air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-flame sign that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire category matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s overall intimidating presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s description says it “draws in hatred and converts it into strength.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
